Painting with LightI used a simple flashlight to illuminate the silo, while God uses a solar storm and the Earth's magnetic fields to paint the whole sky. Photography of the night sky by Troy JohnstoneThe heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. Psalms 19:1,2
Since I was a little kid I have been fascinated with space. It wasn't long after I began to be interested in photography that I turned my camera up to the night sky. Be it the silent beauty of the Milk Way, a strange atmospheric event, or the gentle and quiet interplay of magnetic fields and solar radiation that creates the Northern Lights, I enjoy the what the heavens can show us.
